Getting Started

Please follow the steps below to properly register for use of the PPC facility. Note the PPC is located on the 5th and 6th floors of the Biomedical Science Tower 3 (BST3), which is regulated by the Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR).

          Legacy User
      1. Complete the Legacy User Registration form. Each individual user of the PPC must complete a separate registration form. Once completed, PPC staff will contact you to schedule a consultation if needed, and send an email invitation to the new scheduling system.

*The Legacy User Registration form is only for users continuing experimentation in the 6th floor PPC testing rooms and do not require additional training or orientation at this time. 

 

          New User
      1. Complete the New User Registration form. Each individual user of the PPC must complete a separate registration form. Once completed, PPC staff will reach out to schedule a consultation and orientation.
      2. If you do not already have access to the BST3 animal facility, please contact DLAR at bst3vettech@dlar.pitt.edu to schedule an orientation to obtain access.
      3. If your animals are not currently housed in BST3, please consult with DLAR about any available housing space in BST3.
